So I increased the overclock and adjusted the core clock to +92 and memory clock to 70, then entered Dota 2 max settings. Before that, my memory clock stayed at 2700 and core clock at 1058 even when idle, on a GTX 750 Ti with an OC-GPU. My question is: is it normal for the core clock to fluctuate? Once it drops to 1058, it rises to 1281 and then spikes to the highest I overclocked it to. The memory clock remains steady at 2770. Does power consumption affect the core clock? I’m still confused.

the cpu reduces the clock speed to conserve energy when not in use. this feature can be turned off, though it is typical behavior.
