Geforce RTX 5070 12GB or
Radeon RX 9070 16GB
The RX 9070 offers marginally improved performance and greater VRAM. Both models would provide around 230% to 250% more performance than your RTX 2070.

What do you believe a 12 GB storage would last for over the years? Would spending more money result in a better 16 GB option or paying more for 9070 Ti?

When considering games at 4K resolution, a 16GB RAM is recommended. Prices in the US suggest choosing faster options if the cost is close to 10%.

Is this about the RX 9070 XT? It seems to be around $700. Most experts suggest using a 16GB card unless you're only running esports games at low resolutions. In many game situations, 12GB of VRAM is just sufficient or even more than enough.

Yeah I meant 5070 Ti 16GB. I know it's more expensive but it's worth it if it plays more games better. Also what's the best PSU to get when I upgrade to this GPU?
Thankyou all for your help 🙏

The availability of PSUs differs greatly across regions, making it difficult to give a clear, specific suggestion. I would consider any of the recommendations here, though most top picks come with a significant price increase.
For those on a tighter budget, the Montech Century II line remains a strong option in certain areas because it offers solid components and warranty at a lower cost compared to similar products.

Your build is solid, just replace the 2070 with a newer card such as a 4070 ti super and you'll be set for the latest games at 1440p. 👍

If VRAM is a priority for you, wait for the 5070 Super which should release in the next few months with a lot more VRAM when compared to the 5070. If you cannot wait, you should be fine with the 5070 since it should handle 2k resolution well for the next couple of years easily thanks to DLSS, Framegen etc.
