You're considering a 128GB RAM setup for your Ryzen 9950X3D with the X870E Phantom Nova motherboard. You're concerned about whether AMD CPUs, including the 9950X3D, can support four RAM sticks at once. You're thinking about using a 64x2 DDR5 kit and wondering which one to choose. It's your first time using an AMD CPU, so you're a bit new to this. You're also looking for advice online but feel it's worth asking here. Thank you for your help.

Have you selected a motherboard yet? If yes, review the QVL for the motherboard. If not, choose an MSI board whose QVL includes the memory that suits your requirements.

For that capacity of memory I would opt for this:

I also talked about the motherboard, specifically the Asrock x870e phantom gaming Nova. I chose this board because the M.2 slots don't overlap with the GPU, allowing me to utilize all five M.2 slots without affecting GPU performance.

The speed is low, i want at least 6000MT. Even amd is recommending 6000mt ram for 9950x3d. There is another i found on a motherboard qvl list is Adata AX5U6400C3248G-BLABRBK (compatible chips 2, overclockable, expo, DS), its 6400mt CL32. So i guess i will have to go with 48x2 (96Gb) instead of 128Gb.
I don't know why there are these issue with amd side of things. With Intel i never had these type of issues. Only if Intel released a good chip for both gaming and productivity.

4800c40 and 6000c28 remain the same when used with 9950x3d for gaming. The difference appears in productivity tasks.

Just checking in, I went with almost the same setup again and hit the same question!

I own this (2x16 GB) from g.skill (DDR5 6000 CL 28 36 36 96). I'm really happy with it, and it works fine without needing 1.4 volts. Instead, I'm using 1.35 V.

That's incorrect. The quicker RAM will enhance game performance more, particularly for the 1% low FPS. The X3Ds gain less from this since they don't rely as much on memory communication, though faster speed and better timing still help boost min FPS and minimize stuttering.
