Hey there,
From the image below you shared, it looks like you're experiencing lower frame rates than expected for your setup. The specs you mentioned—Intel i9 9900K, RTX 2080 Ti, 2x 8GB SSDs—should handle 1440p smoothly without any issues. Could the cause be related to your graphics settings, background applications, or even the game's performance?

For testing purposes, you can use tools like MSI Afterburner, GPU-Z, or a simple benchmark suite such as 3DMark or FurMark to check your GPU performance. Let me know if you need help interpreting the results!

Thanks!

Settings? ... probably not important. Those figures are way too low even at ultra. Something’s off. My next move would be to check device usage rates. Are any running close to 100%? CPU, GPU, SSD? (Even a full SSD can run slowly.)

Your SSD has about 50% of its capacity used.

It seems the concern isn’t worth it. My understanding is that most people think you shouldn’t worry about data filling up SSDs until they’re close to 80% full.

I'm not sure, but there might be several factors involved. Could you provide more details?

The CPU isn’t the problem either—it’s running well below half capacity. However, memory consumption is high; it’s definitely above 12GB, which exceeds typical requirements for games and operating systems. This could suggest background applications are using a lot of RAM.

The GPU stats haven’t been shared yet. A document nearby suggests usage is even lower than the CPU. The only oddity is unusually high memory consumption. I’m starting to think the system might be using 16GB of RAM, but that doesn’t always mean everything is functioning properly. It’s possible your BIOS and drivers aren’t updated.

It should operate in this way to meet expectations, and the reasons behind it are clear. The environment I’m working with is defined by specific parameters. Everything you discovered is fully optimized. A frame rate of 60-90 fps appears quite impressive. Someone with a previous Titan X model who boosted performance could run GTA 5 at 4K resolution while maintaining 92 fps, or opt for 1080p at 22 fps. The difference lies in adjusting in-game settings.

To be honest, 60-90 fps is quite solid. @ Your previous comment is accurate—this isn’t the same as what you shared earlier. Right now, your system uses only 49% of available RAM. Previously, you had 82% utilization. The key point I need is to share this image while playing GTA 5 for at least 30 minutes. Once your RAM usage exceeds 80% again, I’d like to see the results.

Looking at the details: you have 16GB of physical RAM, plus a 16GB page file on your SSD. The Task Manager shows a total of 31.5GB. With active data and cached files, about 27.4GB is currently in use. This suggests your system is under strain.

In this case, the numbers indicate RAM isn’t sufficient for sustained performance. If you want a smoother experience, consider closing other applications and focusing solely on GTA 5. That should resolve the issue.

Also, note that even with high CPU usage, your system can still struggle if the GPU is bottlenecked. Your 8-core processor has 16 threads, but real-world performance depends more on GPU utilization than CPU alone. Your GPU usage hasn’t reached 100%, which might mean it’s not the main problem.

To help further, install MSI Afterburner to monitor performance, play GTA 5 for a while, and observe the graphs. Take screenshots of any unusual patterns. This could clarify what’s happening.

It doesn’t stand out to me. There used to be a method for exposing hidden services. It’s possible it’s still not visible. Your GPU is operating at minimal levels, though CPU usage is high but not extreme. Something might be obstructing performance.
