I considered adding more RAM and still feel unclear about the details. I’m thinking about getting the Kingston HyperX Predator 2x8GB at 3200MHz or the HyperX Predator 2x8GB at 3000MHz, which lists OC for that speed. How do I enable it? Or is a lower speed with a smaller CL better?

People say if you receive a 3200 or 3000 kit, they'll all perform at the pace of the slowest component. They suggest trying to overclock it to 2933, which could bring a modest boost.

I’d choose the 2x8GB 3000MHz CL15 kit. Perfectly fine if you’d just purchased a single stick and dropped in, but 2666MHz CL19 would be much slower. That’s actually the better option here.

Gaming is where quicker RAM has the biggest impact, particularly with Ryzen processors, and testing could also refer to Cinebench, where memory performance isn't a big factor. Running at 3200 CL16 and 3000 CL15 gives similar results. The issue is that with a 1600 MHz processor like Zen 1, you'll probably need to lower the RAM speed to around 3000/2933MHz anyway. It's better to choose a system designed for tighter timings from the start.
