Started on AC Shadows, moved in to medium settings to keep the 60 fps. However the heat was troubling me. Did a clean and repositioning of the tower, but it would still go up to 95C, with the GPU memory at peaks of 110C, which doesnt seem healthy.
Ive been tinkeirng along in Adrenaline, mostly with fan manual control (I tried automated/default undervolt, but it didnt seem to do anything noticeable.
What I am struggling with, is finding a balance between cooling and fan noise/levels. If I leave it on default, it feels like the fans dont kick in at all (audible) and allow it to go to 90+110C memory. When I take manual control, it usually has a few seconds at 100% and cools it off massivly and hovers at 51C-75C memory and no higher. Which I guess is a bit too cold compared to the fan noise? I wouldnt mind it being a bit higher if it was quieter.
From going by ear, it seems 1800 RMP seems to be an ideal middleground: audible but not intrusive. However,I have no idea how to make it hover around this. This is the current setup.

Any help is appreciated. Oh and if the whole idea is stupid, don't mind you telling me.

I don't have any components to configure at the moment.
Is there something specific you'd like me to check?

Standard configurations are used, no overclocking required. Deepcool LQ520

Without front or rear fans, you won't have airflow. Usually, front, side, and bottom fans act as intakes, while the rear and top serve as exhausts. The direction of air movement depends on the fan placement.

Yes, the top fans are exhaust.
I was thinking about some extra fans, but what surprised me more was why the GPU fans barely move at factory/default settings when I reach 90°C, yet they start to spin (audibly) at 50°C after a bit of tweaking.
I’m just trying to find a better balance and understand the numbers, because I feel the current representation doesn’t match reality. For instance, on default I had my GPU at 70°C, but when I manually adjust it I get a full 100% fan speed, even though the graph says 100% is at 80°C. But then why does nothing happen when it’s set to default at 90°C?

The VRMs are receiving minimal airflow (everything around the CPU and memory). This affects performance and cooling. I highly suggest enhancing the airflow.

Make sure to add at least a 120 or 140 at the bottom front and behind the cooler in the case. Since noise is important, look for options like Noctua or be quiet! Silent Wings fans, or similar "quiet" models. If those are too expensive, Arctic offers good value.

I plan to grade with some fans, but what adjustments should I make first? For instance, I just lowered the fan speed slightly at P3 when increasing temperature, yet it still runs faster at the same temperature. Currently, the temperature is 51/75 during gaming, and the fans are near 100%, though they should only be at 80%. Also, to restate my question, why don’t the fans activate at all with default settings?

Get the fans. Then tinker.
