On my driver page for my laptop, I see that I can only download certain files for Windows 7 when I select the appropriate operating system. Since I’m using Windows 8, I should still be able to download them without issues.

Check the two BIOS versions you have installed and determine which one is currently active.

10U, AHCI Mode, unless you have a RAID configuration take 30U BIOS won't change your GPU drivers from stopping working imo.

You already have the Nvidia drivers, but you might want to use the older ones instead.

It might be a temporary issue with the temperature display, as fans sometimes start spinning at full speed unexpectedly. This has occurred across all systems I test, including my 675M.
