I’m searching for high-quality game recording tools and screen capture options. Previously, OBS worked well in 1080p, but now it struggles with scaling and doesn’t play nicely with Adobe Premiere or Sony Vegas. After testing OBS settings, I suspect the issue lies with the correct configuration or its current limitations for 4K output. I’m currently using Nvidia’s Shadow Play, which functions until you attempt Push to Talk—green artifacts appear, making it hard to remove them. For instructional game videos, I need a solution that records without excessive resource usage and supports 4K output. Adding voice narration is important. Would you recommend any game recording software that can capture video at 4K without heavy compression, while also letting you insert your voice during editing? I’m open to suggestions that preserve quality and avoid re-encoding to 1080p.

XSplit would help streamline the process.

Consider using a different app with push-to-talk functionality. It could simplify syncing start times—though I’m not entirely sure about the push-to-talk benefit. XSplit might offer a more advanced alternative.

XSplit and possibly Dxtory are available, but these kinds of options usually come at a cost since they're not typical for standard players.

I’m fine with the cost if it adds value, but I prefer to pay only once rather than subscribing repeatedly.

You can't record and stream in 4K simultaneously without using a dedicated 4K encoder. The current NVENC feature doesn't support 4K encoding.

You're definitely ahead of the curve for enjoying high-quality gameplay in 4K. Capturing at 1080p at 60fps is fine, and since not everyone has a 4K display, it's still a solid choice.

I rely on dxtory because it stands out among options, surpassing shadow play, and it integrates smoothly with virtual splitters!

Bandicam handles 4K recording well and doesn’t overly strain performance. I usually drop just a few frames per second during recording. The file size should be bigger than Shadowplay since the bitrate is much higher, even when you lower edit settings. Right now I’m not sure if Bandicam supports push to talk, so I can’t confirm.
