Need a password manager
I believed the keeper was available for free. It was just a 30-day test, but they attempted to prevent access. Removing certain elements in Firefox’s developer tools still lets me view the passwords. I’m looking for another password manager—any suggestions?
I've consistently relied on KeePass http://keepass.info/. Ensure you specify version 2 whenever possible (your system should handle it well).
For seamless experience and plugin support, go with Lastpass. For a hands-on setup with local encryption, choose KeepPass. Both work well together.
The issue lies in employing randomly created passwords for security purposes
I own a 64mb flash drive containing numerous word documents and note pads with all my passwords—both old and new. The files are stored in WinRAR using a 30-character passphrase. Some claim WinRAR isn’t secure, but the only way to retrieve the data is by physically accessing the drive inside a safe protected by a four-digit code. When I try to access it, I often disable my internet connection for a short period. The challenge is retrieving these credentials safely, as they require multiple layers of authentication: the password, a phone tied to a secure device, and avoiding unsecured public Wi-Fi.
