I’ve changed between Windows and various Linux distributions recently, but I’m tired of the usual options. Anyone recommend some interesting OS or distros to explore? It should work well on 64-bit systems and require minimal CPU power, since you have a budget laptop with a dual-core 1.2GHz APU.

I attempted Arch, but faced issues with the AMD driver for xorg. It seems the system only accepts the native driver.

Discuss the setup process and tools mentioned. It involves Arch Linux, Openbox, Tint2, Compton, Conky, and Cairodock for impressive desktop builds.
