My MSI X570 gaming pro carbon WiFi is no longer working, with two severely damaged dimming ports. It’s time to replace it since it’s making more issues now. I’m considering buying it online or through a dealer. I need to figure out which model—ASUS DTX or X570-I—offers the best value for its price.

Do you intend to boost performance? Which CPU model are you running? These boards vary in power output, affecting heat management and speed. Check the VRM details and cooling tiers for further guidance.

Which CPU are you using? Budget option: B550 works well with a Zen 2 processor too.

I slightly boost my processor without much cooling, since my room isn’t great at ventilation. For overclocking, Impact seems ideal for a 3900x or 3950x, but I currently have a 3800x running at 4.7Ghz and that’s the setup I’m using.

I considered it, but I feel better spending more on a X570 for the next-gen high-end CPUs that cost less on a B550, which would require an upgrade to handle the higher-end ones.

We're not sure about the exact specifications yet, but most boards should handle a 3950x easily. We don't even know the power consumption of the new chips. So everything seems fine. A B550 tomahawk, mortar, Aorus Pro, or Strix F would work well. For the X570, the Tomahawk and X570-P and TUF are decent options.

I truly wish to escape MSI. My recent games have been played on them, and their support team has been terrible. They also sent me two mobos with damaged BIOS files from the factory.

Fairly so. The Aorus Pro and Strix F look decent. The Strix F comes in pairs, around eight each—probably 639’s way off—but still solid. The Aorus Pro is really good too, though I didn’t remember it before.

The reports about poor power delivery on the Aorus Pro are not well supported, and similar concerns may apply to the Aorus Elite as well.

Who said that? Probably someone confusing it with the b450, which isn't the top choice. The b550 does have its merits, but the claim about both models is inaccurate. Edited July 21, 2020 by TofuHaroto
