Hello, for gaming at 1440p at 144Hz and 4K at 60Hz, plus some VR, you’ll want a solid build. The Core i5 10600K should handle it well.

Hey there! The 10600k is solid, but the 5600x performs even better. For speed, aim for a 3200MHz CL16 processor minimum. If you choose the 10600k, think about pairing it with a decent cooler to boost performance.

Sure thing... it sounds like you're thinking about different processor options. Last-gen APUs might not be the best fit for quad-core setups, right? It really depends on what you need. Not the most ideal choice overall.

The i5-10600k performs well, but I’d prefer to get the i5-10600KF if you can. For your focus on 1440p and 144Hz, you won’t gain much from the integrated GPU, and removing it will help reduce heat during heavy use. If you’re into overclocking, it still offers a bit more flexibility. Personally, I’ve never hit 1440p at 144Hz on my i7-6700 which has fewer cores and a lower base speed (I don’t usually overclock for games). The i5-10600K/KF will handle 1440p gaming comfortably.
