I am creating an Itx build using the cougar m110, gigabits z370n wifi, Corsair vengeance 8x2 16gb kit, and the i5 8600k (lga 1151).
The air cooler has a clearance of 150mm, and I plan to keep this setup for an extended period.
Overclocking is a priority, and I prefer not to rely on an AIO cooler due to potential corrosion issues, though I’m prepared if necessary.
My budget is limited to $100.

CPU Cooler:
Scythe - FUMA Rev.B 79.0 CFM CPU Cooler
($46.99 @ Amazon)
149mm tall, operates about 2-3°C slower than a Noctua NH-D15 in real-world performance.

The Thermalright Macho 120 measures 120X125mm with the fan included, and reaches a height of 150mm. I needed to purchase one from Germany previously when I wanted it. It has a cooling rating of 200W. There are also Macho 120 Rev. A and a slightly different Macho 120 SBM available.

Scythe offers great value and is readily available. The Ninja4 was considered, but it's a bit too long. That was a good choice!

I am setting up an Itx build using the cougar m110, gigabits z370n wifi, Corsair vengeance 8x2 16gb kit, and the i5 8600k (lga 1151).
The air cooler has a clearance of 150mm, and I plan to keep this setup for a long time.
I’m also going to overclock as much as possible.
Personally, I don’t want an AIO cooler since they tend to corrode over time and can fail, but if necessary, I’ll consider one.
My budget is $100.
AIOs usually don’t corrode because they use corrosion-inhibiting coolant. Have you noticed any signs of corrosion?

The Scythe coolers featuring 12 cooling tubes perform just as well with 240mm AIO cooling.
https://www.tweaktown.com/reviews/8409/s...ndex6.html
Even in an ITX case, a 240mm AIO would pose a significant challenge.

My MITX box features a fully customized water cooling system, meaning there are no limitations.

The $100 budget seems insufficient for a fully custom water cooling setup, especially one aiming to outperform the Scythe Fuma. It's likely a custom loop would be necessary.

My reply about the custom loop aimed to challenge the idea that a compact design can't fit into x-cooler or y-solution, not mainly due to expense.
