Hello everyone, I'm trying to figure out if my RAM speed is limiting my PC's performance. The specs are: AMD FX-6200 (3.8 - 4.1 GHz), MSI 970a Krait Edition Mobo with 8GB RAM (4+2+2@667MHz), GTX 1050Ti, and a 500W PSU. I'm considering upgrading the RAM speed to 1600MHz or 1866MHz. Right now, my system freezes and crashes occasionally. Would this change help?

The 4+2+2 setup seems to be the key issue here. I don’t think it’s worth investing more in this platform anymore. The 2x 4GB Mushkin RedLine 1866 CL9 really caught my attention—playing with 9-10-9-27-36 at 1.65v comes to mind.

4 matches or 2 bigger caps give the best outcome. Consider saving up for higher performance if you're satisfied with your current setup!
