Need a black screen assistance
So my computer is running smoothly, but I noticed XMP wasn't enabled. I checked the BIOS and adjusted the fast boot option to ultra fast. After a reset, I encountered a black screen again. I thought about resetting the BIOS, so I turned off the system, unplugged the power cable, removed the CMOS battery and held the power button. Once I reinserted the battery, the screen still appeared black. I suspect the BIOS reset worked because the motherboard lights came back, which I had turned off earlier. The display isn't functioning, and the keyboard doesn't power on or activate the caps lock light, which usually does. I also tried resetting the CMOS jumper, though I'm unsure if it was powered on at that time. My motherboard has fans spinning up normally, but the keyboard issue remains. I'm concerned this might have damaged the motherboard. Additional details: when powering on, all fans activate as expected, yet the caps lock indicator stays off. My specs are a Gigabyte AB350M gaming rig with a 3 Ryzen 1300X GTX1060 and 6GB RAM.
Consider using a single stick of RAM and test it. If it doesn't work, switch to the other stick.
You might be fine to just install that RAM again. Now that your system is POSTing again.
