Do you need a reference of URLs to whitelist for access to preferred sites?
Thanks to the developer, my router can block certain items. Unfortunately, some block lists have false positives. Because I download files every day, I can't modify them or take action. I require a whitelist containing all necessary URLs so everyone can access the web, similar to Font Awesome.
It’s better to avoid using an allow list since things are too fluid here. A block list reduces more errors than an allow list which might reject access. If your router offers block lists, go with the standard ones like pihole—they perform excellently.
An Zyxel ATP Maintained by Macafee Sorry I dont know the Therm. I see in an local Log when someone try to connect to an "bad"/ blocked URL. Well since many People surf without an Ad Blocker that Log get DAMN fast "full" (well "full" is not the right terme since the Router save the Log on an USB 512GB Flash Drive as "Backup") Do you have an URL to an "Plain Text" List? Here for example what Microsoft need: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/v...tabs=azure I use this List: https://pgl.yoyo.org/adservers/serverlis...=plaintext
The Zyxel ATP line is designed for small to medium businesses, which justifies strong security settings. Are other blocklists permitted, or is the McAfee list linked specifically to ATP? As a quick note, I wasn’t expecting McAfee to remain active… Recently I discovered that not every blocklist fits all firewalls. The format changes depending on the platform it’s meant for. This one from StevenBlack is typically included by default in PiHole configurations. Firebog also offers its own collection. You can compare them with the McAfee list to see if they match and swap the McAfee version if needed. One option is less prone to false alarms, so you might use both?
My router gives me full control over what I can do. There are two approaches: the Contend Filter lets me pick unwanted categories like Ads and block them, plus I can use external lists for Blacklisting or Whitelisting. Here’s the official demo link: https://atp500demo.zyxel.com/ and another one: https://sitelookup.mcafee.com/?p=mcafee&product=01-ts. I also discovered a German site: https://www.technoy.de/lists/blocklists-fuer-pihole/. Unfortunately, I’m stuck needing a White List because the Contend Filter blocks everything else.
I mainly handle network filtering at work. We're one of those companies that use McAfee as a network filter. I just let the site and its CDN links whenever users request them, since they get blocked by the strict McAfee settings. I'm open to games, shows, ideas, and entertainment.
