Hey everyone, you're likely familiar with what I'm describing. I upgraded my XPS 13 with Windows 10 Pro. Now, when I press 'C' in the folder, it highlights files starting with 'C'. Pressing again selects another one. But if I hit any other letter, nothing happens. I have to click somewhere to deselect and then choose a different letter. On my PC, I can press any letter as many times as I want, and it finds the next or previous file. I know it's a frustrating issue, but I've gotten used to it. I searched for a solution but couldn't find anything helpful. Anyone have any ideas?

Did you run backspace or escape before attempting to modify a character? You may also allow a brief pause before changing the letter. Quick keystrokes use the file name for subsequent selections.

I restored the system once more and everything is working properly. It’s unclear what caused the issue, as both installations were clean, so it might have happened during setup.

The system was reinstalled due to that issue. Your answer was considered the best since it provided a practical solution.
