I've also received routers from ISPs with USB 3.0 ports that functioned well for streaming one video at a time. The main limitation is performance, but it's acceptable if you run Kodi on the device and include the router's IP address for a smoother setup. Honestly, most users with PCs would prefer a network share or services like Plex Server/Emby instead.
