You lost track of a PC game released over a year ago.
You crash-land on a planet where you need to collect wood to maintain warmth and upgrade tech upgrades for your base, such as improving storage or enhancing the power battery that shuts down during outages.
A weather station is available for upgrading to predict conditions two days ahead.
There’s an AI in the background with a prominent red eye that triggers if you remain on the planet too long.
The game features side-scrolling gameplay and begins with two players.
You must also transport your crew to the medbay periodically to ensure their survival.

Don't go hungry together? But it's not side scrolling!

it's not that one, thank you. I understand the game is 2D, so I'm trying to recall it like a comparison to DeadLight, except without buildings or climbing elements.

It's a 2D side-scrolling survival game focused on finding safe spots instead of building. It seems to be an older title, though it could be newer too. Visually, it leans toward black, grey, and white tones rather than bright colors.

It's quite new and comes in many colors. It's not huge, but it works on Windows 10 without needing any emulator. Running it shouldn't be overly challenging; it might work well with Intel graphics, though it requires careful management—going too far from the starting point can cause freezing and performance issues. Also, I recall your team could improve their abilities in tasks like gathering wood more quickly or cooking faster. The food-growing graphics are similar to runner beans, but you can clearly see the plants developing when you zoom in.

Was it an indie title or developed by a publisher?

I would say it is indie, though I'm not entirely sure.

it's not about what I recall; the game felt quite simple, with trees on one side and tech/metal on the other. Plus, the farther you go for any resource, the more travel you need.

I located items that align with what you mentioned earlier.
Otherwise, if available on Steam, you might search using the tags associated with them.
