Finally acquired the mz32-ar0 motherboard from Gigabyte and began assembling the system. The configuration includes an AMD EPYC 7402P with 8x32GB RAM (specs are on the list), a Samsung 970 EVO Plus, and a 1TB SSD. I already have additional hardware for the build but haven’t installed anything yet because my memory setup is too limited. On power-up, the system shows no post codes and the CPU fan starts up without any beeps. Several LEDs illuminate—power, PWR, and various status lights—but the boot process stalls. I attempted to simplify by using only one memory stick and none of the other components, but it didn’t work. Am I missing something or is my motherboard not functioning correctly?
Uncertain about the issue but now I see EFI shell, BIOS and post IPMI all appearing.
The issue persists during startup; the LEDs remain illuminated in the BIOS menu.
If BMC led is blinking, MegaRAC is functioning properly. The BMC led issue was resolved. During initial testing, ensure RDIMM is placed in slot A1 as recommended. Remember, I didn’t fully fill all memory slots during testing—this can affect timing. After adjusting, the board started working, though it still takes over a minute for BIOS to appear.
