It has been a considerable time since my last communication. I resolved the “Application has been blocked from accessing Graphics hardware” issue by formatting my PC, however, the freezing persisted. Subsequent testing revealed that freezing occurs more frequently at higher frame rates and ceases entirely when using VSync. I suspect my GPU is experiencing a locking issue, and I am working to identify and address the underlying cause.

When “in vsync mode” I was referring to the vertical sync option that exists on (most) games.

Keep the games in vsync mode since that seemed to solve the issue. I would also highly suggest you buy another 8gbs of ram as well. Your issues could just as easily be the games struggling due to a lack of memory.

It seems I was mistaken. Despite using Vsync, my games continue to freeze.

I believe I have resolved my issue. I observed a program blocking shutdown, identified as "G," which turned out to be a Google backup application. I removed the Google program for testing purposes, and this has eliminated all freezing problems thus far. This may be a false positive; I will investigate further later to confirm.

A false alarm occurred. Most games remain freezing, though some exceptions exist. Even older titles like Half Life 2 are experiencing freezes. However, Team Fortress 2 operates without issues, exhibiting elevated RAM/CPU/GPU usage and a high frame rate.
