Hello, my UPS worked well for a few years but now it dies when my power goes out. It's a Cyber Power 1500 VA, as seen here:
https://www.homedepot.com/p/CyberPower-1.../205702589
When the power goes out, the UPS emits a steady tone, screen goes dead, and unfortunately my PC and monitor die too. I've lost work a couple times.
Is it possible this thing has just given up the ghost? I've had it 5-6 years, and I got it from my IT department; not sure how long they'd had it.
I switched the PC cord to a different outlet on the UPS and manually killed power, and the same result, so it's not a single bad outlet.
Do I just need to buy a new one? If so, what are the things I should look for?
If it matters, here's what I have plugged into it:
Battery-protected side:
-Desktop PC (900W power supply, RTX 2070 Super GPU)
-Cable modem
-Eero beacon
-24" monitor
Surge-protected-only side:
-Landline phone
-Desktop speakers
-24" monitor
-Extenstion cord, which has:
--Brother multifunction printer
--22" monitor
Thanks!

The most probable reason is that the internal battery has diminished capacity. Five years is the suggested maximum life for a UPS battery. This number drops further if you experience frequent power interruptions that necessitate battery use.
Here are some replacement options:

Great, you're welcome! I've placed the order for the replacement batteries.
