My slow internet connection is actually okay on my speed test.
I have been using Verizon Fios for years and never had any issues with my PC, but suddenly a few weeks ago, browsing is acting very slow. Some of the problems include: • Videos on YouTube not playing without buffering or even stopping completely • Pictures appearing on websites instead of loading them * Exceptionally long times to load things I tried using several different browsers and it affects all of them. The internet speed seems fine when I check it. What confuses me most is that my games work fine. My ping is normal, Discord works perfectly without dropping calls or losing the stream, and some sites like Twitch and Netflix seem unaffected here are some of the things I tried: • Resetting the router • Using a different ethernet cable • Using a different port on the router • Changing DNS settings in browsers • Deleting network adapters • Turning off firewall software • Cleaning up Windows install My computer specs: Ryzen 7 2700x, ASUS ROG STRIX B450-F Gaming, Gigabyte RTX 2070 Super, Windows 10, LAN from an Intel I211 chip on a wired connection, ISP is Verizon Fios.
You are very welcome! It's actually working out just fine for me, even if it feels a little slower at first. But wow, that was a big help.
Make sure you picked a big DNS service, such as Google, to use.
