My reality has flipped upside down.
Hi, your new laptop’s trackpad appears upside down while scrolling and side-to-side. After some research, it seems Microsoft has set this as the default in certain software. This is unusual compared to recent updates like Balmer’s changes and Surface products. Scrolling with your fingers in this way feels odd, and you haven’t found a way to adjust it through settings or control panels. The screenshots you’ve seen don’t show an option to change the orientation, and no manufacturer utility appears in the apps. Some suggest it might be a hardware issue, possibly related to the ALPS trackpad model. I checked registry entries and Windows updates, but nothing matches what’s described. It seems the Elan brand or a related manufacturer handles this setting. I haven’t found any information about Elan’s properties in the resources available. Australia is a couple of months ago, but I’m not sure what that means here. Any suggestions?
Need to check your mouse settings? You may require installing the Elan driver or control panel manually.
