Hey, so I wanted to share my laptop’s specs – it's an i5 7300HQ with 8GB of DDR4 RAM, and a GTX 1050TI graphics card. I’ve been playing Rust for the past few days, and it was running really smoothly at 60 frames per second on high settings. But today, I started noticing it was fluctuating between 50 and 60 fps with some stuttering. This has happened before, so I took the precaution of resetting my laptop to its original factory settings, which solved the problem temporarily. However, it’s come back again now. I'm running Rust from a solid-state drive, by the way.
If running Google Chrome as your browser have you gone into settings and turned off use hardware acceleration and there cough cough run in the background services. Seems off base to think about your browser and games stuttering but just watch MSI Afterburner NOT Gaming and watch your GPU Max out. Also look at your Task Manager and see what a Hog Google Chrome puts on your system. Firefox has there taxing as well. Give it a try might surprise you. Fixed my stutter issue. Happy Gaming
