The issue is very annoying. The device is sending analystics data to Xiaomi 24/7 using all my upload bandwidth without me being able to prevent it in anyway. However it looks like only upload rules are being bypassed by the phone not the download rules. All other devices in my home are not doing the same thing. The problem is that.... it is my wife phone and she will kick my ass if I stoped it from reaching the Internet. Life learnt me that to NEVER miss with your god or your wife. Even in that damn device settings there is no way to limit that system app access to the Internet. I need a solution for this I can't play games or stream throughout the day and that is a big problem. I am not gonna buy her another phone. That is out of my budget currently Edit: even selfish net does not recognize the phone from the network

I don't agree, though I just read it now. That might help with part of the problem, but the phone's ability to avoid my QOS settings is actually the main concern—because if it can't do that, then even with constant uploads, there would still be issues.

It appears the evasion tactics depend on the specific app being used. Non-integrated apps seem to struggle with this, which might explain why some devices can detect them right from the start.

Identifying the network tools in use. Recording all data and applying filters based on phone IP address. Analyzing which destinations, ports, applications, protocols, or other details consume the most bandwidth.

And then filter out that destination. Thank you for the tip I will try and report if I could do that in the first place

Focus on your target location or remove any specific port/application details as requested.

I attempted to remove that spy feature, but I only have eight firewall rules available for blocking IPs, ports, or both. The issue is the destination is on port 443, which is widely used for most services, making port-based blocking ineffective. Whenever I block an IP, tracking apps seem to switch to another one, so it’s not working. I managed to identify the Alibaba entity in Singapore that collects data via TCP, but I’ll need to uninstall device apps to stop this.

They offer products at prices close to what you pay, finding alternative ways to earn profit. Their approach isn't necessarily superior to other brands. They seem more clever about it.
