Hello, your 5.5-year-old SeaSonic M12II EVO began making grinding sounds and then a loud siren-like noise. I turned it off right away and unplugged it. I’m considering replacing it with the Corsair RMe RM850e or the ASUS Prime 850W. I need to know if these models work with my current setup: i9-9900K, Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Pro, RTX 2080, Corsair Vengeance 16GB x2 at 3200MHz, Samsung EVO 860 SSD, and a 2TB Western Digital HDD. Please let me know.

I’d like to ensure they fit my needs. Please also check if a unit with 12VHPWR support is available for future upgrades to an RTX 3000/4000 series. Where are you located? What is your budget for a PSU? Which store do you prefer for buying, and what is the model of your case?

Thank you for your response and reassurance. Your budget fits within the cost of these two items, around $120. I’m opting to purchase locally instead of online. My issue involves the Corsair Carbide 300R, which I’ve relied on since my first build in 2013.
