My personal goals for Windows 10 include better performance and smoother multitasking.
With Windows 10 arriving this week, I compiled a short list of features I hope will be included. 1. Native support for Xbox 360 and One Controller – Microsoft seems determined to integrate these devices smoothly across platforms. 2. Enhanced resolution scaling – adjusting UI and text to fit screen size, addressing issues seen in Windows 7. 3. Improved overall system efficiency with reduced RAM usage – a lighter footprint for better performance. Any suggestions welcome, this is just my personal preference.
Windows Aero is something I miss. After some testing, the controller support on Windows works well overall, though the vibration triggers on the XB1 controller aren't functioning properly. I've mainly played on Windows 8 for gaming, so I'm not sure how it feels on Windows 7.
Only controller support available, including XBOX 360/ONE, PS3 and PS4. With the SCP Server tool, I can use my PS4 controller on a PC (Windows 8.1) without any problems.
Lately I've missed staying on top of the updates despite being an insider.
It seems the Aero feature is missing now, but it used to look great! Most PCs were satisfied with it. Custom themes were possible too, offering many cool options. I hope more personalized themes will appear for Windows 10—I really want a tailored desktop experience.
