My PC suddenly stopped working with a "Reboot and select proper boot device" error?
My motherboard is Z390 Godlike. The PC functioned properly until the reboot failed due to this error. I've already checked the "Boot Priorities" and confirmed the Samsung 2TB NVMe is present normally. My PC also recognizes the storage drive: https://ibb.co/zHxSvR1. Another photo is available here: https://ibb.co/fqTGBLw. I've also attempted to install a new NVMe SSD using a USB converter and set it as the first boot device, but the same error persists. How should I proceed? Is this related to a MOBO battery problem? Should I wipe the NVMe SSD and reinstall Windows 11? It doesn't appear to be a storage issue since the error remains consistent across two different drives.
Occasionally the system can reinitialize itself, so check all the configurations to identify any modifications. Factors like TPM UEFI or other settings might prevent it from recognizing the disk as unchanged. Also, verify that all available disks are listed as boot devices, as it isn't guaranteed the NVMe was selected. Booting from a standard Windows installation via USB won't succeed.
You can start from USB without a regular Windows setup, or load a Windows installation media and access the repair menu. To boot from USB it must be Windows PE (Preinstallation Environment), which has restrictions. Alternatively, you can use 'windows to go' though it is no longer supported.
I've attempted to erase the drive using command prompt, diskpart, and list disk commands. However, after that process, the computer still refuses to install a new Windows OS even though the NVMe has been wiped. Occasionally, the PC fails to recognize the hard drive during the disk listing in CMD. I recently purchased a new Samsung 990 Pro 4TB NVMe drive.

The drive hasn't been cleaned yet. It contains a 100MB partition. Perform another clean. The drive needs to be completely unallocated, no partitions allowed. If you plan to create partitions before Windows installs, they must be set up in a specific manner required for the installation. A drive partitioned with MBR cannot be used for OS installation in UEFI mode, and a GPT partitioned drive won't support Windows in legacy mode. Cleaning the drive before installation resolves these issues. How To - Windows 11 clean install tutorial This guide walks you through a clean installation of Windows 11 version 23H2 or later, and can also be used for earlier versions with minor visual differences. forums.
I performed several cleaning attempts on the drive, including without partitions, but all methods failed:

I also tested both UEFI and legacy modes, yet they did not work:

Following these failures, I attempted a clean operation via CMD, but the PC no longer recognizes the drive:
