System: AMD Ryzen 7 7700 (8C/16T)
Memory: 32GB DDR5 6000 CL30 Corsair Vengeance
Motherboard: Gigabyte B650 Gaming X AX v2, latest BIOS update available.
Power Supply: Seasonic FOCUS GX ATX 3 (2024), 80 Plus Gold, 750W (recently bought)
Storage: 2TB Samsung 980 Pro SSD
Previously I owned a 750W Gold rated Corsair RM750X PSU. Changing it didn’t fix the issue.
https://streamable.com/9yn7q3
From the video, the performance drops significantly. MSI indicates minimal GPU activity and low power draw.
How the issue happens:
I launch Windows 11 and begin a game; sometimes it stutters from the menu or right after launching. I power off the PC, restart it, and resume playing for hours—everything functions normally. The next day the problem resurfaces. It’s extremely annoying. After a full BIOS reset, everything works perfectly for several days before the issues return.
I tested the graphics card on another system with an i5 12400f, 32GB DDR4 3200 and a 600W Bronze PSU, without any problems.
Memory was verified using MemtestEXP with EXPO profile active, showing no errors.
Occasionally, during Windows boot, the spinning wheel freezes. I hear the boot sound but the screen goes dark.
I performed extensive stress tests on CPU, GPU, and memory for several hours without issues.
Approximately one in five times, when I start Windows, the system fails to boot correctly.
Could the RAM be incompatible with the motherboard, is the controller faulty, or is the CPU defective?
I’ve become frustrated with my PC.

I checked the graphics card for roughly two weeks on a different setup.
You didn’t specify the GPU’s make and model.
Motherboard: Gigabyte B650 Gaming X AX v2 with the most recent BIOS update.
To stay relevant, please mention the BIOS version as well.
Are there any compatibility issues between the RAM and motherboard? Is the memory controller working properly? Could my CPU be faulty?
Please share a link to the RAM kit you’re using.
How is the processor being cooled? What is your case’s make and model?
Is your operating system due for an update?
i5 12400f, 32GB DDR4 3200 with a 600W Bronze PSU – no problems encountered.

I currently have BIOS version F36. Previously, I used F5 and F32. Updating the BIOS didn’t fix the problem.
The GPU is an Inno3D RTX 4070.
A suitable cooler is available from Inno3D at https://www.inno3d.com/product/inno3d-ge...twin-x2-oc.
Another option is the Corsair product listed at https://www.corsair.com/us/en/p/mem...cl...m2b6000z30.
The issue has been ongoing since last year.
The new Seasonic PSU is only a month old.
Under full load, the CPU reaches 70-75°C, but it stays cooler during games.
The cooler is manufactured by Deep Cool, though I don’t recall the exact model.
The GPU never exceeds 70°C and maintains 100% usage.
For the other system I recall the motherboard was an MSI PRO H610m.
