My PC is shaking a lot and my light bulbs are flashing in my room, can you tell me what's wrong?
I built a new computer a few weeks ago and it runs great except for one problem: the frame rate jumps around a lot, skipping every few seconds while my lights in the room flicker at the same time. I also don't know why this happens every single time. I tried resetting the PC to factory settings but that didn't help either. I've turned off all graphics overlays, cleaned out the hard drives, adjusted the GPU's overclocking settings, and nothing has worked yet. What could be causing this? Thanks for listening!
Sounds like a power problem. Call a handyman, switch to another outlet, or move rooms out.
Would the power just run out before it gets here? Would adding a battery backup help with those light flickers everywhere upstairs? It looks like turning off switches on different outlets is causing all the lights to dim or flicker.
You have already been informed about this problem. It is because of bad wiring inside the home. A professional with a license needs to come out and check it, then they can either repair it or at least let you know where things are wrong. You cannot fix this yourself without that expert help.
Do you think buying a power backup unit would solve the problem? My buddy is an electrician so I might let him check it out, but are we sure a UPS device would make things better?
I want to add a video, but right now every ten seconds in the game something happens. The lights in my bedroom flicker together and it shows up on the FPS number at the bottom left. I don't know what's causing this. I tried plugging into other outlets but nothing helped. Maybe it is just the computer?
