My new computer is having problems – the games are constantly freezing up.
I’m having a really frustrating issue with my PC. The game keeps crashing – it closes completely, but the computer itself stays on. I’ve updated all my drivers and the BIOS, but nothing seems to fix it; I just have to restart and relaunch the game every time. It's driving me crazy!
Here are my specs:
* **Operating System:** Windows 10 Pro
* **Processor:** AMD Ryzen 9 3900X
* **Graphics Card:** Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2070 Aorus Super
* **Motherboard:** ASUS ROG Strix X570-E Gaming
* **RAM:** G.Skills Trident Z 32GBDDR4 @ 3200MHz
* **CPU Cooler:** NZXT X63 Kraken
* **Power Supply:** Corsair RM850 Gold 850W
* **Storage:** Samsung 970 EVO Plus NVMe 1TB SSD & Seagate Barracuda 4TB HDD
* **Case:** NZXT H510 Elite
You know, I was just wondering about my PC setup – like, how many of those little fans are in there, and if I've messed with anything to make it run faster. You wouldn’t happen to have tweaked the settings on your graphics card, would you? And do you ever notice the fan on the graphics card spinning up when you’re playing games? It makes me curious about how hot things get – do you keep an eye on the temperature while you're gaming?
I’ve been running some tests without any overclocking – just letting the fans kick in as the graphics card gets warm. The fans spin up when it reaches a specific temperature, and the heat then fluctuates somewhere between 45 and 60 degrees, depending on what I'm playing.
Just wondering if your PC was running hot – checking to see if the fans were set up correctly. Are the two in the front pulling air in, and the ones at the top and back pushing it out? And just curious, is the game installed on the SSD or the old hard drive?
My CPU’s running pretty hot – around 45 to 60 degrees, depending on what I'm playing. The fans are set up so the fronts pull in air for the radiator and the back blows it out. All my games are loaded onto my NVMe drive.
Let’s just try moving that file around on the hard drive and see if it fixes the issue while we're playing games.
If anyone else can maybe chime in here that would be great a second or third opinion would be helpful
