I've been having trouble with my computer because it gets too hot when I use it, so I replaced the old cooling fan with a new one called an MX-4. The temperature numbers are better now: before the change, idle temp was 67 degrees C and under load it climbed to 80 degrees C. After putting in the new part, both temps went down—idle is around 60 degrees C and under load it's about 75 degrees C. I have an Intel i7-9750h processor, a GTX 1650 graphics card, 16GB of RAM, and the Max-Q cooling software installed with the new fan. What's causing this heat spike?
Just remember: I haven't tested thermals with a clean boot yet, if you need that info I'll do it later at this link https://valid.x86.fr/ngbnxi - Checked right after playing Valorant. Edit: Going to sleep now. Will reply in about 10 hours when awake.
I just did a clean boot but nothing happened. The laptop is old, from about 2019, so the warranty has expired now.
I guess no one has told me much about it lately but maybe I found a fix. Adamx was making my computer too hot until I changed back to the normal Windows settings and things look okay now. I'll tell you more later.
I just looked at it yesterday and the computer is cold when I don't use it, but it gets hot to about eighty-four degrees or ninety-four degrees depending on how much stuff I'm running. Any help?
