Hey everyone,

I’m really struggling with something and it's starting to get frustrating. My Minecraft performance is just terrible, and honestly, it’s making me lose the motivation to build anything.

I've spent ages reading forums and trying everything I can think of, but nothing seems to fix it. It’s bad no matter what – whether I'm playing singleplayer or on a server, and it doesn’t matter which version of Minecraft I'm using, whether I have Optifine or Forge installed with mods, or even if I change my Java version.

At the beginning of a new world, I’m getting around 100-150 frames per second. But after about two weeks in a survival world, the FPS drop off dramatically – almost to half that amount.

I’ve tried everything I can think of: different Java versions, completely uninstalling programs on my computer, even upgrading some hardware. Still nothing works!

I've included screenshots from F3, Task Manager, and HWMonitor so you can see what’s going on: [https://imgur.com/a/3hikiri](https://imgur.com/a/3hikiri)

You can also view them here: [https://imgur.com/a/3hikiri](https://imgur.com/a/3hikiri)

Here are my PC specs: RTX 2060, Ryzen 5 1600x, 16GB of 2400MHz RAM.

I’ve been wondering if my RAM speed might be the issue, especially with my Ryzen processor, but I’m not sure it should make such a big difference. At least, that's what I thought.

I’m really hoping someone can offer some advice – any help would be hugely appreciated! Sorry if there are any mistakes in my writing; English isn’t my first language, and you can see some of that in the screenshots.

Hey everyone,

I’m really struggling with something and it's starting to get me down. My Minecraft performance is just terrible, and honestly, it’s making me lose the motivation to build anything.

I've spent a ton of time reading about this online, checking out every single forum and discussion I could find, but nothing seems to fix it. It’s bad no matter what – whether I'm playing on a singleplayer world or joining a server, and it doesn’t matter which version of Minecraft I'm using, whether I’m running Optifine or Forge with mods, or even if I change my Java version.

At the beginning of a new game, I’m getting around 100-150 frames per second. But after about two weeks in a survival world, the FPS drop off dramatically – almost to half that amount.

I’ve tried everything I can think of: different Java versions, completely uninstalling programs on my computer, even swapping out some hardware components. Nothing has made a difference.

You can see some screenshots to help illustrate the problem: [https://imgur.com/a/3hikiri](https://imgur.com/a/3hikiri)

Here are a few different views: [https://imgur.com/a/3hikiri](https://imgur.com/a/3hikiri)

Just to give you some background, here are my PC specs: RTX 2060, Ryzen 5 1600x, 16GB of RAM at 2400MHz. I’ve thought about whether my RAM speed might be contributing to the issue, especially with my Ryzen processor, but I’m not entirely convinced it's that significant – at least, that’s what I think.

I really hope someone can offer some advice! Sorry if there are any mistakes in my writing – English isn’t always my first language, and you can probably tell from the screenshots.

When you’re using a Ryzen processor, it really benefits from fast RAM. If your RAM is running at 3000MHz or faster, you might find that it helps to solve whatever issue you’re experiencing. Just a quick check – is your RAM installed in slots two and four?
