my microphone on the headset (magic eagle havit headset) stopped working about a week ago. i initially thought it was the mic itself, but when connected to my ps4 it functions perfectly. people have suggested it might be related to audio drivers or the audio jack, but i don’t know what those are or how to fix it. if someone could help, that would be really appreciated.

What is the make and model of your microphone or headset? Is it USB-based or analog? If it's analog, ensure you have the most recent BIOS for your motherboard, the latest OS version (20H2 for Windows 10), and remove the audio drivers. Check the sound card manufacturer's support site for updates. If your motherboard has built-in audio, look for drivers there. After that, reinstall the audio drivers through an elevated command—right-click the installer and select Run as Administrator.

it comes from the Magic Eagle Havit Gaming Combo, featuring red and black. I use a USB to connect it, but I’m not sure if there’s a YouTube guide for removing those audio drivers. I don’t have much experience with computers.
