Hello! So, yesterday I was playing Fortnite and CS:GO.... Usually my ping in Fortnite is around 30-60, and in CS:GO it's around 35-50... But, yesterday my ping in Fortnite was around 80-100, and in CS:GO it was around 60-80.... And, there is this weird thing.... when I play League of Legends, my ping moves from 40-60, which is decent.... but in CS:GO and Fortnite it's higher than usual which makes the games lag and then they aren't that enjoyable as they are when my ping is normal... I already tried restarting my internet router. There is no virus eating my internet in the background when I play games. I really don't know what could be the cause of this problem.... I appreciate your help!

I’d likely start by adjusting my DNS server to check for improvements. ISP DNS services can sometimes lag behind better providers such as Google or Cloudflare. I’ve used Cloudflare without any problems after the switch.

It seems the problem might lie with your ISP or another point downstream. Adjust your DNS settings (like 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4 for Google, or opendns works too) and consider running a tracert. You should notice better performance once ping values stay under about 150.
