I recently installed new laptop speakers for my HP Pavilion. The first pair worked fine briefly, but after a short time the screen would lag and static appeared. All drivers were updated, and someone could you advise?

It might be a faulty CPU or GPU, or both could be overheating. Consider cleaning and reapplying paste to the laptop.

It seems the problem isn't related to the speakers themselves, but to stuttering during video playback. Make sure to run a system monitoring tool to check temperatures and other factors.
