In laptops that have limited BIOS options, turning the CPUs up for overclocking isn't possible and you probably shouldn't try because it could damage them. Instead, keeping Armoury Crate seems like a better choice right now. Also, HWInfo is actually really good at watching your computer's parts work.

Is it necessary in this situation? Getting more FPS isn't really what I'm worried about right now. The problem is this random stutter I keep getting just from using my computer. It happens whenever I watch YouTube videos or listen to music on Spotify. Something strange seems to be happening under the hood, and it causes a hiccup every few minutes.

Ooooh. I'm curious... maybe I can figure out why this is happening. But I don't know for sure yet. Let me take a closer look...

So, if you need help, I'll uninstall your GPU drivers using a special tool called DDU, and then install new ones straight from the official Nvidia site. Also, make sure you update your motherboard's BIOS version by checking the manufacturer's website.

So what I've been thinking about isn't working right now, but nothing changed it anyway. I still have that stuttering thing happening. But every time I try to fix it, I keep seeing this error show up in the Event Viewer: I'm currently downloading all the latest GPU drivers and then I'll hunt for the newest BIOS firmware just like before.

It seems like there isn't actually a new BIOS upgrade for my machine right now. Just checking the ASUS site, I see an old update tool from before last year that's all they have listed.

So far (touch wood), I'm not getting any lag when I listen to Spotify. 😁 We'll see if it stays like this... I haven't updated the GPU drivers yet, but they're already installed. There don't seem to be any BIOS updates needed either. I did update Armoury Crate though, which included an AI Noise Cancellation tool. That might have helped fix things. Could it be related to the sound? I also signed into MyASUS and ran a check. It found three problems: one was with my Wi-Fi connection, another was about closing apps to save memory, and the last one was an optional Windows Update that doesn't matter anymore now. EDIT: Nope. The problem is back 😖
