My laptop didn't come with Microsoft Office, but I can't find it anymore.
After I cleaned up and logged in using my Microsoft account, MS Office 365 shows that I don't have an active subscription. I looked at all my emails but there are no signs of any office plans or paid services! After I hit "restart" on the computer, Windows got activated again as if nothing happened. It was a home and student version that came free with my laptop. So is it gone now?
check the Microsoft Store app on your computer to see if it's still in your library. If you signed into Windows with an MS account and Office 365 was running before, it will likely be able to be re-downloaded or installed again. If that doesn't work, call the manufacturer of the PC or the store where you bought it and tell them you need help getting access. Usually, they'll give you a backup installation disk with the original software included.
Usually, that stuff comes from your Microsoft account. You can try opening the site in your web browser and see what it says about Office 365.
The charger came with my new computer, and it wasn't a fancy version—it was just the original, factory-installed one.
It was supposed to work with Microsoft, but only if you reinstall Windows first. There are no trees involved. This kind of software trick is common because everyone hates the full MS Office suite. I'm just not sure how else to explain it anymore.
Office licenses and Windows licenses are two different things - they don't get automatically synced and they aren't supposed to be. Sure, it IS possible to use the same email account. If Office was bought, then you just need the email address and password from when it was purchased. That's pretty simple.
Was the Office software that came with your computer actually Office 360? What laptop model did you buy? What does "tress" mean here? As of now, I don't think Microsoft has any reason to blame us. If you have no MS account and no proof of a license, why would Office 365 work at all? A Microsoft account is needed to install it, so if you had permission, the software should already be linked to your account anyway. In any case, Home or Student versions are not really Office 365.
