Hi guys.
I'm searching for an ups. Psu 850w gold, ram 16gb 6000mhz, dell S2722QC 4k, gpu rtx3080ti and ryzen 7900x.
How can I pick my build?
I want to just shutdown based ups.
Which is the best online ups or line interactive.

An "online" UPS is a double conversion UPS that constantly converts AC from DC. It provides a steady output. I rely on online UPS for my network and PC hardware. They seem better, though they tend to cost more. You can often find them used. Purchase without batteries and install new ones. Be ready to swap batteries every 3 to 5 years.

If the UPS is designed to shut down your PC, you should connect it via USB to trigger an automatic shutdown.
To determine the right size, measure the load wattage. Use the manufacturer’s charts to estimate how long it will run.

Thank you for your suggestion. However, is the inbuilt 890VA of my PC sufficient?

VA numbers often serve as misleading marketing tools. They resemble watts but are computed differently, especially for UPS systems where the VA value usually exceeds the wattage. This helps marketers distinguish between the two. Check the wattage listed for your UPS and remember that your PC doesn’t consume the full 850 watts rated by your power supply. Verify if your UPS displays actual watt usage. A device called a killawatt can provide accurate readings, though many generic options are available. Other details about power consumption are also important to consider. Focus on understanding battery types, as their capacity affects performance more than run time charts, which are often influenced by marketing. To estimate real power draw, add the battery’s AH rating and multiply by 12 volts; this gives a rough wattage figure. This method can help you gauge how long your UPS will last before needing a battery replacement.

I'm unsure. Check the maximum usage. The built-in feature doesn't connect via USB to your PC to trigger shutdown automatically.
