maybe I could modify my 7740G? What would happen if I tried? The idea seemed solid, especially since OSX Yosemite looks appealing and I’ve done similar projects before. I’m aware there aren’t official guides for laptops—let alone ones covering a discrete GPU and Dolby sound—but I’m confident in my abilities. Here’s what I did:

- Disabled graphics acceleration
- Removed PCIRootUID
- Executed sudo get-edid | parse-edid

That was quite amusing. I get it when you can't complete a task and then return to working on the Windows interface.

The main tip for OSX is to choose hardware that gets some support, and then address any issues that arise.

That's why I want the HARD MODE Pretty much all the hardware has problems. Gpu: No support CPU : Known iGPU issues Ram : 1066 is a bit slow... HDD : 512MB instead of the good cluster size Display : Corrupt EDID Trackpad : No PS/2 Support in OSX By default Motherboard ; Generic so I have to use Easybeast which means super worse support Audio : No support at all Surprisingly the wireless and webcam were working right out the box... This should be fun!
