When playing tough games like H1Z1 or Bf4, the performance drops temporarily, then the GPU and CPU hit 405Mhz causing the game to stop. Temperatures stay around 67°C to 70°C most of the time.

Check the CPU temperature in the background and during the game, noting the highest reading. For the GPU, review the furmark stress test results for the last 10 minutes. Regarding the drivers, confirm they were downloaded and installed from the laptop manufacturer's website.

helpstar:
request for CPU temperature with core temp in the background and game. What is the highest shown temperature?
furmark stresstest for GPU. How much heat after 10 minutes?
drivers from the laptop manufacturer's website were downloaded and installed. No alternatives.
something unusual occurred... when I opened coretemp only two cores are visible even though I have four. Is this normal or a problem?

You run the GPU stress test at the final stage.

Well, that's not unusual, your CPU is a dual-core unit with the ability to handle four threads simultaneously.

use the intel diagnostic tool to check the processor status, also observe the temperature of the cpu.
