Hi, I recently got my first decent computer and now it's acting up sometimes. When I play GTA V randomly, the game freezes almost completely, and my GPU uses zero percent power. This forces me to restart my PC. It only happened once in about two hours of gameplay, which is super annoying here. Here is what I have: an Asus B365M-A motherboard, an Intel i5 9600k processor, two sticks of 16 gigabytes of Corsair Vengeance memory running at 2400 megahertz, a Gigabyte Nvidia GTX 1650 super OC (with the core clock boosted by 150 megahertz and memory clock boosted by 900 megahertz). Normally while playing GTA V, my GPU uses power between sixty and eighty percent, and my temperature stays under sixty-five degrees Celsius. From here I think I've narrowed it down to two possible problems: 1. My overclock settings could be causing the card to go into a fail-safe mode, but afterburner's OC scanner says that confidence is ninety percent. 2. My power supply unit It's a cheap three-hundred-eighty-watt thing that makes a loud whining sound when it's under load (I know that, I know; I have a better one coming soon, I'm just trying to make do with what I got). I think it is unlikely the PSU would cut off power just to the GPU alone, which leads me back to my other point, but my PSU is still pretty scary. If you guys can give any insight to my issue or if I'm just making a silly beginner mistake, please let me know. Thanks!

Afterburner's OC Scanner kept telling me to overclock, even when I didn't really need to do that. So I stopped using it. You know, the GPU is just stressing out that 'bad 380-watt thing' way too much? Turn off the OC until the new computer arrives, and maybe the fans won't scream so loud. Even better: it might not freeze anymore! Just try setting an FPS limit, like 120 frames per second? That really depends on what you set up.

Afterburner's OC Scanner has always been posting that claim at least once in a while, even when it wasn't actually true. So I stopped using it. You do know the GPU is stressing that 'cheap 380-watt thing' way harder? Turn off the OC until the new unit arrives and it might not make such loud noises. Heck, it could even stop freezing completely. Try setting an FPS limit too, like 120 frames per second? Of course it depends on what settings you pick.
