I experimented with the afterburner settings on my 1050 and managed to get core clocks at 1800 working fine. While playing GTA with a friend, the game started crashing repeatedly, so I reset it. It looks like the 1800 core clock setting is now fixed even after uninstalling the afterburner.
In Afterburner you must press "Apply" following a click on "Reset" to ensure the reset functions properly.
I made sure to click apply each time I adjusted the settings. I even removed afterburner, which was meant to completely remove the profile. Despite this, my GPU kept stuck at its overclocked 1800mhz. I suspect a rare issue and realized I might be able to slightly overclock it again to bring it down. Also, GeForce Experience doesn’t recognize my card.
