My video games frequently disconnect unexpectedly. I’ve researched potential solutions online, including a method involving disabling the OfficeBackgroundTaskHandlerRegistration in Task Scheduler under the Microsoft folder. However, I don’t have a “Microsoft” folder with that specific structure despite experiencing this problem. Could you provide assistance?

I’ve observed that your operating system appears to be damaged, and you'll need to build a bootable USB drive. After creating this drive, initiate advanced startup, choose the repair option for your OS, and then select the external USB storage device. During the scanning process, “it” should identify the missing registry file. If the scan successfully locates all detected errors and absent files, “it” will then attempt to fix these issues. This process aims to address the problems and provide you with insight into their root cause. Please note that this isn't about simply switching to a different window; it involves rapidly minimizing and opening and closing the command prompt, a maneuver you may not consciously witness.

Could you tell me which program is active, and what operating system you are using?

Microsoft Windows 10. Virtually any game, it occurred in Skyrim via Steam, and the most frustrating instance was League of Legends, representing a significant issue.

Based on my observations, your operating system appears damaged and you will need to establish a bootable USB drive. After creating this, utilize advanced startup, choose the option to repair your OS, and then select your external USB storage device. During the scanning process, “it” should identify the absent registry file. Upon completion of the scan and discovery of all anticipated errors and missing files, “it” will then begin correcting these issues to resolve your problem. I'm sharing this information with you for your consideration and understanding of potential causes. This isn’t about “alt-tabbing out,” but rather rapidly minimizing and opening/closing the command prompt – you might not notice, but it’s actively searching for the missing registry file. If this repair fails regrettably, you'll need to reinstall your operating system drive.
