you're asking about what "down the line" means in the context of network issues. It refers to problems that might happen later, like packet loss during certain hops—specifically between the ocean cable and the mainland distribution center. You're coming from an island, so those connections are critical for your setup.

Navigate to settings, adjust the server, input any region beyond your country such as Singapore or Amsterdam, and pick a random ISP from that selection.

It's unusual for a server to be located in China.

particularly for China. you mentioned living on an island, so your internet will initially route through the mainland hub, then regional hub, followed by an international hub, then an intermediary hub, and finally to China. each transition raises latency and reduces speed. your gigabit connection works best for connecting you directly with your ISP.

But as we observe, the download speed bandwidth remains consistent, whereas the upload isn’t as strong as it was at the regional server. I’m curious about what’s causing the slowdown—could there be some traffic involved, or is someone deliberately interfering with my connection? It used to work smoothly, but now I’m experiencing issues. Is this related to one another?

Is the chart just a waste of time? Don’t stress about it.

A router or switch can enhance connectivity, and ISP support can assist with optimal performance.

I see a difference. On Windows they push you to use the app, the site shows accurate speeds, but the app runs slowly.
