Hey, so when I plugged my samsung monitor into my HP Omen 15, it wouldn't even turn on. But if I use that same monitor with an HP Omen 17 laptop, everything works perfectly. I tried changing every single driver, doing a hard reset to the computer, and trying to match the refresh rate to 60 hz... nothing helped at all. My Omen 15 says it's connected and shows up on my screen, but the samsung monitor stays completely blank. I checked everything again and everything looks exactly the same as on the Omen 17 laptop, yet still no picture on the samsung screen. Wait, here is something new: every time I plug the HDMI in, the screen zooms in a tiny bit then goes back to normal size.

Did you press that FN button to switch between different ways of showing the picture? Does your computer know about this extra screen when you check device manager or look in display settings?

Yes, I already tried turning the FN to switch to all other output modes. When I picked external only, my main screen went black and nothing else happened. But when I attached it, the window sees the extra display here is the screenshot https://imgur.com/a/pg3UrDa View: also linked above

Just a quick update: I took it out to the store to get it checked. Turn outs the HDMI port itself is faulty. Nothing could have been done but to replace it. Cheers!
