So my internet worked fine for a few days now. The problem is this: every time I shut down my PC, the Ethernet adapter disappears when I turn it back on. It says "NETGEAR88 not found." My only fix so far is to unplug the cables and plug them in again before starting up. This thing gets unplugged just like that after a restart, which means I have to do this every single time. It's a real hassle, and I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas or fixes. I've already reset my network adapters and removed them from Windows several times, as well as updated the system, but nothing has really helped.

Update your post to show all hardware specs and OS info. Where did you get those network adapter drivers? Did you install them manually or use a third-party tool? Look at Update History: check for failed updates from just a few days ago. Also check Reliability History. Any error codes, warnings, or events shown right before your Ethernet adapter disappeared? Run "ipconfig /all" (no quotes) in Command Prompt and post the full results here so you can copy them without typing everything again.
