My Dell Vostro 15 3510 is not turning on at all.
I have two Dell Vostro 15 3510 laptops that won't turn on at all. After taking them apart to fix and replace the screens, I can't get them back on. The first one was working before I touched it, but after reconnecting the hinges, it suddenly stopped working a day later. The second one hasn't been put together yet, so I have no way of knowing if it works. All signs are off; neither laptop shows any sign of starting up. For the second one, there is still a charging light blinking when plugged in. Everything is wired correctly. Here are some things I tried: I unplugged the charger and battery to do a hard reset. I checked and reseated the RAM stick. I verified that the power cord and battery were working properly. I also used Dell's diagnostic shortcuts by holding the power button while pressing other keys. I confirmed that my power button works as well. I don't know what else to try and I am really stuck for help. Please, someone please tell me how to fix this so I can get it running before I have to give up on fixing the motherboard myself because I can't find even similar problems online.
Welcome to the forums, newcomer! Word of advice, always check to see if the device actually works before you go ahead with disassembly. Often times you'll see people turn up with a faulty laptop, never mention that the laptop wasn't working to begin with and then pin the blame on the technician citing that the issue wasn't there to begin with = free laptop/repair/compensation.
