Hello, I just built a new PC and it doesn’t turn on or show anything on the screen. After plugging in the power supply and turning it on, the motherboard lights up and the power button LEDs activate, but everything stays off. Even after trying to press the power button multiple times, it doesn’t work. I’ve rewired several times to fix wiring issues—even checked the manuals—and everything looks correct. All components are compatible, and I’m using the backplate on the motherboard. Is there anything else that might be causing this? Please help.

Consider checking the board beyond the case to exclude a short.

Standoffs? RAM fully seated? Those are the most frequent problems.

Check the power source:

Verify if the connected fan operates.

I just checked the test for the power supply and it functioned properly. It also activated my fans. However, when I plug the 24 pin back into the motherboard it doesn't work.

Consider changing the orientation of the 2 pin power button connector, as reversing positive to negative might work in the image.
